Assistant Packhouse Manager
Our client a leader in the production and distribution of Soft Fruit farming requires a Packhouse Manager to oversee the of productivity, labour and quality processes of an intensive farming operation
This is a 24/7/365 intensive operation which requires the expertise of a manager with industry experience, who is organised and can perform in a pressurised environment.
The role entails:
- Execution of manual pack plans in the most efficient and effective way.
- Communicate and drive production efficiencies and targets according to budget and targets
- Ensure compliance of all Quality Food Standards as well as Health & Safety regulations.
- Ensure effective stock control practices to eliminate damage, wastage, discrepancies
- Staff Management, performance measurement (manual packing labour)
- Nurture a culture of cohesion, discipline and motivation
- Excellent communication between all stakeholders
- Continuous Improvement
- General Admin
Requirements: ·
- Qualification ·
- 5 Years relevant experience in a manual packhouse·
- Audits, Global Gap, BRC, HACCP etc.
- Strong Numerical aptitude
- MS Office intermediate
- Drivers and own transport
