Assistant Packhouse Manager - Citrus / Sub-tropical
Our client a leader in the production and distribution of Soft Fruit farming requires an Assistant Packhouse Manager to oversee the of productivity, labour and quality processes of an intensive farming operation
This is a 24/7/365 intensive operation which requires the expertise of a manager with industry experience, who is organised and can perform in a pressurised environment.
The role entails:
- Execution of manual pack plans in the most efficient and effective way.
- Communicate and drive production efficiencies and targets according to budget and targets
- Ensure compliance of all Quality Food Standards as well as Health & Safety regulations.
- Ensure effective stock control practices to eliminate damage, wastage, discrepancies
- Staff Management, performance measurement
- Nurture a culture of cohesion, discipline and motivation
- Excellent communication between all stakeholders
- Continuous Improvement
- General Admin
Requirements: ·
- Qualification ·
- 5 Years relevant experience in a packhouse management of Sub-tropical fruit
- Audits, Global Gap, BRC, HACCP etc.
- Strong Numerical aptitude
- MS Office intermediate
- Drivers and own transport
